Last Updated: June 24, 2025
This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. Please read it carefully.
1. Introduction
Numerant ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights in relation to that data. By using Numerant, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the app immediately.
2. Data We Collect
We collect the following categories of data:
- Account Data: Email address and authentication credentials when you register or sign in via email or Google.

- Device Data: Device type, operating system version, crash logs, and diagnostic data collected automatically to maintain app stability.
- Usage Data: Anonymous, aggregated data about how features are used (e.g., which screens are visited). This data cannot identify you individually.
- Biometric Reference: If you enable biometric authentication, your biometric data is processed entirely on-device by your operating system. We never receive, store, or transmit biometric data.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data solely to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Numerant service.
- Authenticate your identity securely.
- Sync your financial data across your devices via your account.
- Send transactional communications (e.g., email verification, security alerts).
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent or unlawful activity.
- Comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not use your data for advertising, behavioural profiling, or any purpose beyond the above.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored using Google Firebase, which provides industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256). We implement access controls, authentication requirements, and PIN/biometric protections within the app.
No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we take commercially reasonable steps to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, your personal data and financial records are permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by applicable law (e.g., fraud prevention, legal proceedings).
6. Sharing of Data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service Providers: Third-party providers who assist us in operating the app (e.g., Firebase for data storage, Resend for email delivery). These providers are contractually bound to handle data securely and only as instructed by us.
- Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or governmental authority, we may disclose data to comply with such obligations.
- Business Transfer: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred to the successor entity, subject to the same protections described in this policy.
- With Your Consent: We will share data with third parties only if you explicitly authorise us to do so.
